Tips For Naming A Dog
Hopefully you found a few names you like from the list of whiskey inspired dog names! If you did and are trying to decide on a name, here are some tips:
- Keep It short-(ish): Short names are easy to say and understand therefore one or two syllables are your best bet. Don’t worry, most of the names on this list are on the short end. If you end up falling in love with a name that is longer, consider a nickname. A nickname will allow for you to quickly and easily call your dog.
- Avoid common words: It’s super important for your dog to recognize his or her name. Because of this it’s best to avoid names that sound too similar to common commands or other names in the house.
- Test it: You’ll want to take some time to discover a name you like that is also a fit for your dog. Start by saying each name aloud to see if it’s easy for you to say. If the name passes that test then start trying it out with your dog.
- Pick a name you like: You’ll be saying whatever name you choose ALOT :). Take a few extra days to be sure you’re happy with the name.
