Tips for Naming Two Pets
Maybe you’re thinking “wow this list is great, but I still don’t know what to name my dog”. Since naming two pets can be tricky here are recommendations on how to pick a pet name for your dog, cat, or any animal.
- Pick Two Names You Like. This is the most important! Make sure you like both names. If one of the names isn’t clicking do not force it. It is absolutely okay to choose two names that you like that have nothing to do with one another.
- Consider Pros & Cons of Similar Names. Similar names can be incredibly cute and that’s why you’ll find many on the list. However keep in mind that you will be using the names to call your dogs. If the names are too similar it could be confusing for your dogs. You want to ensure each dog knows specifically when you are calling their own name.
- Test The Names. Before you go engraving dog tags and introducing the world to your new pets, try out the names first. Give it a day or two to see if it rolls off the tongue naturally plus this will help you discover if it’s actually a name you like.
Hopefully you found a name… or two 🙂 ! Be sure to let us know if you found inspiration from this list. If you have any great duo names to add to the list, we’d love to hear them!
