Tips for Naming Your Dog
Maybe you’re thinking “this is helpful, but how in the heck do I pick out a name?” Since naming your dog is a very important descision here are recommendations on how to pick a name for your dog.
- Pick A Name You Like. This is the most important! Your dog is your dog and therefore you have every right to decide their new name. You’ll probably receive lots of ideas from friends and family so consider those ideas but ultimately it’s your choice.
- Consider Any Cons. You’ll want to ensure that when you say your dogs name it is very clear for them to understand. Try and avoid names that sounds like other family member names or commands you plan on using.
- Test The Name. Hold the phone on engraving dog tags and introducing the world to your new dog, try out the name first instead. Take a day or two to see how it rolls off the tongue. Don’t force it, if the name isn’t clicking there is a reason.
